(STURGIS) – The Sturgis Board of Education has been presented with the proposed budget for the 2024-2025 school year.

The proposed budget for the 2024-2025 school year has projected total revenues of $40.8 million and total expenditures of $41.2 million. Fund balance for the District would be $8.4 million, which is about 20% of the annual budget’s expense.

The Board of Education will be asked to approve the budget during a special meeting June 24.

Also during Monday’s meeting, the Board approved an amendment to the 2023-2024 school year budget. It had revenues of $41.6 million and expenditures of the same amount.
