(THREE RIVERS) – A body found behind a Three Rivers house has been identified as a missing Three Rivers woman.

Three Rivers Police Chief Scott Boling says he was notified Wednesday by medical examiners that the deceased person has been identified as 41 year old Nicole Marie Wood.

On July 9, Three Rivers Police were contacted about a missing and endangered person. Wood had been missing since July 7, and was last seen in the area of River Drive and Middle Street.

On July 12 at 6:12 AM, officers responded to the 200 block of Middle Street for a report of a deceased subject behind a residence.

The investigation into Wood’s cause of death is still underway. Boling says there is nothing at this point to suggest that there is a threat to the community. He says his department extends their condolences to Wood’s family and friends.
