(SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP) – Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in a one vehicle crash over the weekend that claimed the life of the driver.
Michigan State Police say at 11:30 PM Saturday a 39 year old Union City woman was driving south on Athens Road and went through the intersection at Dunks Road. Her vehicle then went off the road, rolled over multiple times and stopped south of Milligan Road.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing her safety belt,
Assisting at the scene were the Union City Police, the Sherwood Township Fire Department along with Life Care Ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation.
