Three Rivers track teams do well at County Meet

(STURGIS) – Both the Three Rivers boys and girls track teams did well at the St. Joseph County UAW Meet. For the Lady Wildcats, Annabell Gill won the 100 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles. Teammate Kylin Griffin won the 100 meters, the 200 meters and was part of the winning 400 meter relay team and the 800 meter relay team. Ellana Haifley was county champion in the pole vault and was also part of the winning 400 meter and 800 meter relay teams. Both Gisell Macedo and Kenna Cottingham were members of the 400 meter and 800 meter relay teams. For the Three Rivers boys, Gabriel Humbert was county champ in the 300 hurdles and was second in the 110 hurdles. He finished fourth in the 100 meters and was also part of the 1600 meter relay. Kaden Salinas was county champ in the long jump and Noah Humbert in the pole vault. Gabriel Humbert was the male winner of the Baker Award and Annabell Gill the female winner of the Baker Award. The award is given to the Most Valuable Athlete of the meet.
