Area teams run at Mendon CC Invitational

(MENDON) – Several area cross country teams were in action at the Mendon Invitational. In the boys race, Union City finished third and Centreville was fourth. Colon and host Mendon didn’t have enough runners to qualify as a team. Centreville’s Logan Weis was third overall and teammate Ethan Miller was 12th. Union City’s Ben Gautsche was seventh while Jason Shoop was ninth. Colon’s Dalton Williams was 19th while Chandler Lafler was 23rd. Mendon’s Ben Iobe finished 24th, and Lucas Dudley was 66th. In the girls race, Union City was second, Centreville was fifth and Athens was eighth. Colon and Mendon did not qualify for the team event due to low numbers. Mendon’s Presley Allen was first overall and teammate Rowan Allen was third. Skyler Fraley of Union City was fourth while Alissa Skirka was 11th. Centreville’s Ellie Reed was 12th and Autumn Major finished 17th. Macey Burgess of Colon was 21sts and Reese Williams was 30th.
