(STURGIS) – The host Sturgis wrestling team went 2-0 at their season opening quad meet. The Trojans beat White Pigeon 54-19 and B.C. Pennfield 54-24. Coach Brad Barkby says his wrestlers came out strong and never took their foot off the gas. Going 2-0 on the night were Cooper Barkby, Easton Barkby, Lola Barkby, Jacob Lewis, Aaron Castro and Angel Alvarez. Going 1-0 were Jaden Luna, Wyatt Myers and Alexis Ramirez.
