(PLAINWELL) - Tough defense, high percentage shots and hitting free throws was the winning combination for the Sturgis boys basketball team as they beat host Plainwell 45-39 for their first Wolverine Conference win of the season. Gavin Lewis led the Trojans and all scorers with 16 points and 11 rebounds. (LISTEN ABOVE). Lukis Bir had 11 points and 8 assists while Simon Phillips added 8 points. Sturgis is now 4-6 overall and 1-5 in the conference while Plainwell is now 7-4 and 4-2 in the conference.
