(COLDWATER) - A Coldwater man has been arraigned after his arrest on Friday.
Branch County District Court officials say 25 year old Alec Heuer is charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct involving a child under the age of 13; two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct; and two counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material involving prepubescent children and a high volume of prohibited images.
Online court documents say the charges are in relation to an incident that happened in April 2025. The matter was investigated by the Michigan State Police.
Heuer's bond was set at $500,000. If he is able to post bond Heuer is prohibited from any contact with the named victims or anyone under the age of 18. He is also barred from possessing any devices with internet connectivity.
Heuer is scheduled to have a pre-trial conference on February 12 and a preliminary examination on February 17.
