Glen Oaks’ Quist, Russell and Osburn earn honors

(CENTREVILLE) - The Michigan Community College Athletic Association released its yearly volleyball awards Tuesday and three Vikings were recognized for their efforts this season. Sophomore outside hitter/middle blocker Kylie Quist wrapped up her Glen Oaks career by landing on the All-MCCAA Team and the All-Western Conference First Team. The Athens, MI., native finished the season with 270 kills, 31 assists, 26 aces, 240 digs and 26 total blocks in 28 matches.

Classmate Keegan Russel, an outside and right side hitter from South Bend Clay High School, was an All-Western Conference Second Team selection after finishing with 220 kills, 26 assists, 59 aces, 209 digs and 28 total blocks in 28 matches. Freshman setter and ride side hitter Maddie Osburn from Sand Creek, was selected to the All-Western Conference Honorable Mention team. She posted 131 kills, 507 assists, 27 aces, 271 digs and 15 total blocks for the Vikings.
