(BRONSON) - The City of Bronson will be doing their spring water main cleaning
City officials say they will be flushing fire hydrants and exercising water valves on the east side of Bronson starting at 7 AM on April 20. Then on April 21 at 7 AM, they will move to the west side of the city.
If additional time is needed then the flushing will continue on Wednesday April 22.
City officials want to remind residents that this process may cause some temporary water discoloration, which may appear as an orange or reddish rusty color because of disturbed iron sediment. If this happens, run cold water from the tap closest to the water meter for several minutes to clear the lines.
In addition, City officials are advising the public to hold off from doing laundry during this flushing period to avoid any possible staining.
