(STURGIS) - A member of the Sturgis City Commission shared his disappointment Wednesday night.

Following the announcement by City Manager Andrew Kuk that he would be resigning effect July 24, Commissioner Aaron Miller shared a statement with his fellow Commissioners.

Miller started by saying he is disappointed and can't support this agreement that was presented regarding Kuk's resignation. He says it does not adequately describe what might answer the question about the reason for it's existence.

Miller directed some of his comments towards Sturgis Mayor Frank Perez, saying he will have trouble moving forward from this situation in good faith. Miller says he has no faith in Perez's leadership. He says it's an inherent gross lack of leadership and it is destructive to the City. Miller says he has no confidence in Perez doing what is right, and Perez has effectively killed his trust. He says he is shocked and disappointed beyond description. (LISTEN ABOVE).

Following a closed session during Wednesday's meeting, Kuk announced his resignation. No discussion was held by the Commissioners on what steps they will take to find Kuk's successor.
