(COLON) - Colon senior Lilly Preston took up a new event last year and it's earned her a college scholarship. On Monday, Preston signed her letter of intent to throw the javelin for the University of Charleston in West Virginia. Preston starting throwing the javelin last year after talking to her coach and Colon Athletic Director Noah Dooley. She says she loves it and can't wait to take her skills to the next level.
