(COLDWATER) - A Coldwater man has been officially charged following a two state pursuit last month.
Branch County District Court officials say that 39 year old Mason Holbrook is charged with a felony count of fourth degree fleeing a police officer and a misdemeanor charge of operating an unregistered vehicle.
According to the Branch County Sheriff's Office, the pursuit started on April 27 at 9:47 PM when deputies were in the area of Jonesville and Gorbell Road and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for a license plate violation.
The vehicle drove off with deputies in pursuit.
Holbrook allegedly was driving at between 70 and 90 MPH and sometimes reaching 100 MPH.
The pursuit entered Indiana where State Troopers put down stop sticks near the Toll Road ramp on I-69. Holbrook tried to run away but was quickly apprehended by officers.
The Quincy Police Department and the Steuben County Sheriff's Office assisted in the pursuit.
Holbrook's bond was set at $100,000. He is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing on May 28.
