(ATHENS) - Mendon picked a boys basketball road win as they beat Athens 58-41 in SCAA West action. Mendon coach Matt Gorham says Athens game plan made it a tough shooting night for the Hornets, but played hard and found a way to win. Owen Gorham paced Mendon with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Ryder Gorham added 12 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals, while Carter Huston had 9 points and 3 rebounds. Mendon improves to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the SCAA West Division. Athens drops to 2-4 and 1-2 in the Division.
