(COLDWATER) – A guilty plea has been entered by a woman facing a charge of criminal sexual conduct.

Branch County Circuit Court officials say 20 year old Jayme LaPoint entered a plea of guilty to first degree criminal sexual conduct, involving a two year old that she was babysitting. By entering the plea, three other charges of using a cell phone to send videos of the sexual acts to her husband were dismissed.

LaPoint is still being held in the Branch County Jail, and is scheduled to be sentenced September 23.

She is also one of four people that are facing charges filed by the Michigan Attorney General's Office for plotting to kidnap, rape and kill a child they were going to select at random. LaPoint and the other suspects, Matthew Toole of Battle Creek, Talia Furman of Springfield and David Bailey of Coldwater were all arrested by the Michigan State Police in September 2018 following an investigation.
