(STURGIS) – The Sturgis Police and Fire Departments are currently investigating two malicious destruction of property cases on Arden Park Street.

Deputy Police Chief Ryan Banaszak says on Wednesday at 5:15 PM the Sturgis Fire Department was sent to a garage fire in the 300 block of Arden Park. Firefighters arrived and found a small fire in the detached garage and also noticed several other areas of damage to the building.

The fire was quickly put out, and the Sturgis Police were called to investigate the damage to the property as well as the suspected arson of the garage.

Then on Thursday, the Sturgis Police were again called to the 300 block of Arden Park for another destruction of property incident. This time, an outbuilding on the property was damaged in the overnight hours.
