Mendon Woman Injured In One Vehicle Accident

(MENDON TOWNSHIP) – A Mendon woman was injured in a one vehicle accident in Mendon Township.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department says 63 year old Pamela Frost was driving west on Michigan Avenue near Hallam Road in Mendon Township at 8:20 Sunday night when a deer ran in front of her. Frost says she swerved to miss the animal, and in doing so, her vehicle went off the road and struck a tree.

Frost was removed from her vehicle by rescue personnel and taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo to be treated for non life threatening injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Assisting deputies were the Mendon Fire Department, Michigan State Police, and Life Care Ambulance.
