(LAGRANGE) – A pay raise could be coming to Lakeland School Corporation teachers.

Under a tentative agreement between the School Board and the Lakeland Education Association, teachers would get a 2 percent raise in their base pay.

Before the Board can approve the contract it must take comments from the public. That will happen next Monday evening at Lakeland Intermediate School and Murphy says there will be limits on those comments. ...... {LISTEN}.

In addition, Murphy says all statements must be directed to the presiding officer. No speaker may question Board Members or staff directly.
