By: Mike Stiles - Thursday, October 31, 2019

(COLDWATER) – The case against a former Quincy resident is heading to Branch County Circuit Court.

Branch County District Court officials say 31 year old Thomas Stump has been bound over to Circuit Court following his preliminary hearing. Stump was initially charged with two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct. One of those charges was dropped, but two more charges were brought against Stump. They are distributing sexually explicit material to a minor and assault with intent to commit second degree
criminal sexual conduct.

Stump was arrested October 4 in Texas on a warrant issued by the Quincy Police in August. The charges of criminal sexual conduct were filed after an investigation by officers on alleged incidents that happened between December 2017 and April 2018. It's alleged the victims were two females under the age of 13.

Stump's bond remains at $50,000 in each case. He is scheduled to be arraigned on November 18.
