(LAGRANGE) - An attempted robbery at the LaGrange Marathon Station ended with the arrest of a LaGrange man Sunday evening.
Police responded to the station at 9:21 PM for a report that a man with a knife was attempting to rob the station and harm employees.
The man was still inside when police arrived. Officers tried de-escalation tactics but the man refused to comply with their commands. He then threw a screwdriver and merchandise from the store at the officers.
Police used a taser and OC spray to take the man down and into custody.

Sheriff’s deputies, Wolcottville and Shipshewana police, Indiana State Police and Conservation Officers assisted LaGrange Police in the investigation.
