Chamber Annual Dinner Honors Businesses And People

(STURGIS) – It was a night to honor Sturgis businesses and individuals for what they do.

The Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual dinner at the Sturges-Young Center For The Arts. Chamber Board President Kimberlee Bontrager shared the Chamber's goals for the coming year, and Chamber Executive Director Cathi Abbs thanked outgoing Board Members Julie Evans and Ann Wiedlea for their six years of service.

The Chamber also handed out several awards. Receiving the Chamber Participation Award was Glen Oaks Community College and Faith Gardner for their handling of the Family Night events during Sturgis Fest.

Receiving the Outstanding Community Service Award was Natalie Boland. Boland says she was overwhelmed to find out she won the award. ...... {LISTEN}.

The Phoenix Award was presented to the Sturgis Historical Freight Museum. This award is given annually to a business that does upgrades and improvements to their building and property.

The Customer Service Award was given to Patrick Abstract and Title. The Ambassador of the Year Award was given to Nick West.

The Chamber also recognized WBET/Fox Sports Sturgis' Tom Duke as the outgoing Chamber Ambassador Chairman, after holding the position for two years.
