Snow A Factor In Several Accidents

(CENTREVILLE) – It was a busy Monday for the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies responded to 32 accidents, mostly due to the weather and bad driving conditions.

At 8:33 AM, deputies were called to the area of Riverside Drive and Burke Road in Constantine Township for a single vehicle accident. Investigators say the driver, 54 year old James Hebert from Constantine, was taken to Three Rivers Health to be treated for his injuries. The Constantine Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Just after 10:30 AM, deputies were dispatched to M-60 and Roberts Road in Fabius Township for a single vehicle accident. A semi jack-knifed and partially ran off the road. Deputies did not say if the driver, 35 year old Christopher Harris of Indianapolis, was injured in the incident.

At 3 PM Monday, deputies were called to the area of Butler and North Angling Roads in Nottawa Township for a one vehicle accident. The driver of the vehicle, 27 year old Jess Stokes of Athens, was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo to be treated for his injuries. The Centreville and Three Rivers Fire Departments assisted deputies.
