(STURGIS) – Sturgis Public Schools is looking at adding a Middle School swim team for this current school year.

During Monday's Board of Education Study Session, Athletic Director Mark Adams presented the idea, saying girls swim team coach Kari Hatt approached him about a Middle School swim team. ...... {LISTEN}.

Adams says presently, middle school students can swim in the Stingray program, but the Middle School team, which would be co-ed, would be a little different. ...... {LISTEN}.

Adams says there are other schools in Sturgis' swim conference that have middle school swim teams. The season would consist of five meets in the months of December and January.

The Board will consider the proposal during their regular meeting on November 18.
