(HOWARD TOWNSHIP) – A Dowagiac couple were injured in a one vehicle crash.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke says his office was called to Barron Lake Road north of White Street in Howard Township just before 8 AM Wednesday.

Deputies say 90 year old Barbara Kedik was driving south on Barron Lake Road when she lost control of her vehicle, went off the road and struck a tree.

Kedik and her passenger, 89 year old John Kedik, were taken to Lakeland Hospital for evaluation. Both individuals were wearing their seat belts.

Assisting at the scene were the Howard Township Fire Department and SMCAS Ambulance Service.
