COLON, MI - A 19 year old suspect in the death of a Colon, Michigan man was formally charged with murder on Friday afternoon during an arraignment in St. Joseph County District Court. Reports indicate that Ethan Dingman, age 19, is being held without bond on charges that include murder.

Authorities say the body of 55-year-old Todd Schwartz was found in a detached garage behind Illusions Hair Care Salon on South Blackstone Avenue in Colon.

Schwartz reportedly died of blunt force trauma to the head. Investigators say Schwartz was trying to help Dingman, who was homeless.

The Michigan State Police Mobile Crime Lab has been investigating the scene and details that led to the incident.
