(BURR OAK TOWNSHIP) – A traffic stop led to the arrest of a 34 year old Mendon man.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation just before 2 AM Friday on M-66 near Hackman Road in Burr Oak Township. During the investigation, the deputy found that the driver was operating the vehicle without a license and had put a license plate from another vehicle on the automobile he was driving. The officer also found methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

The driver was arrested and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, driving suspended and improper plate.
