Armed Robbery At Sturgis Advance America

(STURGIS) – Sturgis Police are asking for the public's help with an armed robbery investigation.

Sturgis Deputy Police Chief Ryan Banaszak says officers were called to Advance America in the Kroger Plaza just after 3 PM Tuesday. Employees told officers that a woman came into the store, produced a firearm and demanded money.

The woman made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running south from the store. The Michigan State Police K-9 Unit tried to track the suspect but was unsuccessful in locating her. The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department also assisted with the investigation.

The female suspect is 5 feet 5 inches tall, approximately 160 pounds with brown hair.
