(CENTREVILLE) – Glen Oaks Community College has decided to extend their service area.
During their meeting this week, the Glen Oaks Board of Trustees approved adding Cass, Kalamazoo and Calhoun Counties into the school's service area. The current service area includes Branch County, Michigan along with LaGrange, Elkhart, Steuben and St. Joseph Counties in Indiana.
With this change, it reduces the tuition rate for residents of those counties from $187 per contact hour to $153. That will begin for the Fall 2020 semester.
Trustees say with the dual enrollment initiatives in Kalamazoo and Calhoun Counties, it only made sense to add them to the service area and apply the tuition initiative.
