(UNDATED) – Another dose of winter weather is heading our way.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 PM Friday until 1 PM Saturday for St. Joseph, Branch, Cass and Hillsdale Counties in Michigan, along with LaGrange, Noble, Elkhart, Steuben, DeKalb and St. Joseph Counties in Indiana.

Forecasters say we will see snow flurries later today, then picking up in intensity in the evening hours. Snowfall could be heavy at times during the evening and overnight hours, with 3 to 5 inches of accumulation possible. Winds of 10 to 20 MPH, with gusts up to 35 MPH could create some blowing and drifting of road ways.

Saturday's forecast is calling for some rain and snow until late morning, then changing over to rain as temperatures rise into the low 40's. Precipitation will change back to a mix of rain and snow by late in the afternoon. Then in the overnight hours, snow is forecast with an additional 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible. It will continue to be breezy on Saturday with winds of 15 to 25 MPH, gusting as high as 35 MPH.

Travel Friday evening and Saturday could be difficult so please use caution if you have to be out on the roads. Stick to the main roads and slow down, especially when approaching intersections and other vehicles.

Stay tuned as we keep you up to date with all the latest weather information.
