Parole Checks Lead to Drug Arrests

(UNDATED) – Two parole checks led to arrests being made on drug related charges.

On Wednesday, the Cass County Drug Enforcement team did a check at a house in the 200 block of King Street in Dowagiac. As they searched the dwelling, detectives located a large amount of methamphetamine and meth paraphernalia.

A 37 year old man was at the house and arrested for possession with intent to distribute meth and maintaining a drug house.

Later on Wednesday, the Drug Enforcement Team did another check of a house in the 20,000 block of Kelsey Lake Street in LaGrange Township. Officers searched the house and located meth paraphernalia.

A 46 year old man was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine. Assisting with the search warrants was the Michigan Department of Corrections.

The names of both suspects have not been released, pending their arraignment in Cass County District Court.
