Trine University Closing Campuses Due To Order
By: Michael McIntyre - Tuesday, March 24, 2020

(ANGOLA) – COVID-19 is closing down another area university.

To comply with Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb's Stay At Home Executive Order, Trine University has decided to close down the main campus in Angola; it's Fort Wayne Center for Health Sciences and all Trine Online offices. This goes into effect at the close of business Tuesday.

Trine President Dr. Earl Brooks II has also declared a university wide pandemic emergency in accordance with university policy.

As a result of the campuses being closed, Trine students have been asked, with few exceptions, to move out of the residence halls by the 11:59 PM March 24.

Trine canceled classes on Tuesday to give students time to move out. Classes will resume online on March 25. Those who are unable to retrieve their belongings before campus closes will be able to access them once the Stay At Home order is lifted.

While campus is closed, only security, buildings and grounds and custodial service staff will be reporting to work. Other departments will work remotely.
