COVID-19 Cases Rise In Northeast Indiana

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The number of COVID-19 cases have gone up in Northeast Indiana from Monday to Tuesday.

According to the Indiana State Department of Health, there were 3 new cases in LaGrange County, which makes 41 people who have tested positive for coronavirus. Two people have died from the virus.

Noble County has 1 new case. That makes 136 residents who have COVID-19. Another resident died from the virus, which makes 16 people who have passed away. Steuben County has no new cases of coronavirus, which means 62 people have been detected with the virus, and 2 people have died from it.

DeKalb County has 1 new case, making 24 people who have COVID-19. There has been 1 death. Elkhart County has 31 new cases, which means 525 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Three more people have died in the county from the virus, meaning 21 people have lost their battle with COVID-19. Allen County says 33 new cases of coronavirus have been detected, which makes 867 people who have the virus. 59 people have died from COVID-19.

Statewide, 566 people have tested positive for the coronavirus, which means 25,127 people have COVID-19. 33 people have died. 1,444 have lost their fight with COVID-19.

The State Department of Health also is reporting that 4,697 new coronavirus tests were administered from Monday to Tuesday. All total, 150,510 people have been tested with 16.7 percent coming back as positive.
