(CONSTANTINE) – Constantine Public Schools have found the person they want to be their next superintendent, and it's someone they are familiar with.

Wednesday night, the Constantine Board of Education interviewed Rohn Peterson, retired Superintendent from the Roanoke-Benson School District in Illinois along with James Wiseley, the Constantine Middle School Principal. They were selected as the finalists following interviews that were held April 29 and 30.

During Wednesday's interviews, both Wiseley and Peterson were given time to share their 90 day plan for the District if they were hired. Each man was then asked a series of questions by the Board members.

Following the final interview, the Board of Education took 25 minutes to go over their notes individually and then came back to discuss the candidates. School Board President Terry Burgess started off the discussion, saying his choice would be Wiseley. ...... {LISTEN}.

Every School Board member echoed Burgess' comments. Others shared that Wiseley gets parents and the community involved with the school district. They also said he has brought enthusiasm and pride to Constantine Middle School.

A motion was made to offer the position to Wiseley, contingent on the successful negotiation of a contract. Burgess then called for a roll call vote. ...... {LISTEN}.

Board member Tyson Platz encouraged teachers, students and staff along with the entire Constantine community to get behind Wiseley and show their support.
