Plymouth Indiana Man Arrested on Drug Charges

(LAGRANGE) – A Plymouth, Indiana man is in custody on multiple drug related charges.

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department, along with the Topeka, LaGrange and Shipshewana Police Departments, conducted a search warrant Thursday just after 12:30 AM at 9045 West 770 North in Shipshewana.

It had been reported to authorities that the occupants of the residence were growing marijuana in the backyard. An investigation revealed that a 4 to 5 foot marijuana plant was in plain view, which allowed for the search warrant to be granted.

Officers searched the house and property and found Addam Long of Plymouth, Indiana to be the only occupant at the time. Officials found several items of drug paraphernalia, syringes, along with 24 grams of methamphetamine. A 4 foot marijuana plant was found inside an empty above ground swimming pool.

Long was arrested for possession of a syringe, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.

The matter remains under investigation and more arrests are pending.
