(THREE RIVERS) – Three people are in custody following a home invasion that happened Sunday.

The Three Rivers Police Department says they were called to a home invasion that was in progress on South Constantine Street. When officers arrived they found several victims who said they had been threatened with a gun, a large knife and a bat. The victims said the three suspects broke into their home and confronted them. The residents of the home said they did not know the suspects, but were able to get them outside and then lock the doors before calling authorities.

Three Rivers K-9 Officer Django was brought to the house and tracked the suspects to a home in the neighborhood. One of the suspects was located in a van, where officers also found evidence from the break in and took the man into custody.

Officers were able to identify the other two suspects and believed they were in the house. A search warrant was obtained and executed. Officers found the other two suspects and additional evidence.

All three individuals were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail and are being held without bond on charges of first degree home invasion and felonious assault with a gun.

Three Rivers Police were assisted in the investigation by the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department and the Michigan State Police.
