By: Mike Stiles - Wednesday, July 29, 2020

(COLDWATER) – A high speed pursuit ended with the suspect getting away from authorities.

The Coldwater Police and the Branch County Sheriff's Departments both say they were notified at 5:40 PM Monday of a stolen vehicle from Madison, Indiana that was heading north towards southern Michigan. At 5:55 PM, cameras in downtown Coldwater picked up the vehicle. The driver was noticed driving between two vehicles that had stopped for a red light on the east side of the Marshall Street and U.S. 12 intersection.

Coldwater Police, Sheriff's Deputies and Michigan State Police officials followed the vehicle west through downtown Coldwater. The pursuit then went into northern Branch County, but the officers lost sight of the suspect vehicle, which was last seen heading east at a high rate of speed on Herricksville Road.

If anyone has information on this vehicle, they are asked to call either the Coldwater Police, the Branch County Sheriff's Department or the Michigan State Police.
