(STURGIS) – August 24 is the first day of classes for Sturgis Public Schools.

Under the plans approved by the District, students will have the option of being instructed in the classroom or virtually for the 2020-21 school year.

During Monday's Board of Education Study Session, Sturgis Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert shared that a communication went out to all students and their parents on Tuesday. ...... {LISTEN}.

This allows parents to make sure they have their child or children signed up for the right method of instruction, and if not to get it changed. The communication will also have specific information such as how to order food and how at home students can get Chromebooks.

Ebert says families will have until the end of September to decide if they want to stay with the option they have chosen or make a change. Beginning in October, they must stay with whatever option they have picked until the end of the semester.
