Park Elementary In Three Rivers Closed Due To COVID
By: Mike Stiles - Wednesday, October 7, 2020

(THREE RIVERS) – A Three Rivers school is closing down for a short time after two new cases of COVID-19 were reported.

Three Rivers Superintendent Ron Moag posted a letter on the District's website Tuesday, saying that Park Elementary would be closed after two students had tested positive for the coronavirus. Moag says that through contact tracing they have identified a significant number of students and staff that have been required to be quarantined by Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency guidelines. Based on that information, the decision was made to close the school

Park Elementary will be closed starting today, and is expected to re-open on Monday October 19.

Moag says starting October 8, Park Elementary students and staff will start remote learning. Chromebook distribution for students happened on Wednesday.

Moag says staff will deep clean Park Elementary and get it ready for the students to return. He reminds all of the Three Rivers students and staff to continue following the safety guidelines of washing your hands frequently and to clean and disinfect work areas often.
