(COLDWATER) – A Bronson man is going to be serving more time behind bars after he violated his probation.
Branch County Circuit Court officials say 18 year old Gavin McNitt was sentenced Monday to between 14 months and five years in prison for violating his probation.
In March, McNitt was sentenced to 11 months in jail after he plead guilty to two charges of second degree criminal sexual conduct. The charges were in relation to an incident that happened in June 2019 with a then 14 year old girl. McNitt was credited with 252 days served. In addition, McNitt was given three years probation.
The Branch County Prosecutor's Office dismissed two counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct at that time in exchange for McNitt's plea agreement.
