(FREMONT) – Santa is going to be making a return visit to Steuben County this weekend.

Officials say the Jolly Old Elf will be in Fremont this Saturday. He will see children safely from their family vehicles at the pavilion at the Fremont High School football field from 6 to 7 PM. This will be a drive through event with no one exiting their cars. Santa will be at the pavilion, waving to the children and accepting their letters and wish lists.

Fremont officials say their traditional Christmas parade will not take
place this year.

During the drive through event, the Fremont Legion Auxiliary will be handing out cookies and drinks. The Fremont Public Library will have a book and craft for each child.

Those who will be attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate for the Fremont Youth and Community Outreach Food Pantry.
