(WHITE PIGEON) – A man is facing several charges after leading police on a chase.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says at midnight on February 12, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for not having a valid license plate. The automobile fled through the Village of White Pigeon and ended when the driver, a 33 year old Centreville man, got his vehicle stuck in the snow in the parking lot of a White Pigeon business.
Deputies discovered the man had warrants out for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the St. Joseph County Jail on the warrant charges, along with felony charges of fleeing and eluding, and resisting and obstructing police. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of driving while license suspended.
