Victim Identified In Wheelchair v Vehicle Collision

(THREE RIVERS) – The victim of a collision between a motorized wheelchair and an SUV has been identified.

The Three Rivers Police Department says 49 year old Tony Hoyt of Three Rivers died from the injuries he sustained in a July 20 incident in the area of Millard Street and Erie Street. At 6:38 PM on that date, the Three Rivers Police and Three Rivers Fire Departments were called to the location in regards to a crash involving a motorized wheelchair and a vehicle.

Hoyt was struck and taken to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The investigation is still continuing. Police are waiting for results from the autopsy and from a Michigan State Police accident investigator's report.
