(LAGRANGE) – A suspect is in custody in the stabbing of a LaGrange man Saturday afternoon.
Police were called to a residence in the 6200 East block of County Road 200 South around 4:35 PM.
They say 70-year-old Stanley Myers had a deep stab wound to his upper-back shoulder area. Police did not release his condition other than to say he lost a considerable amount of blood.
Later 36-year-old Wes Wilson Weinberg of Marion turned himself in at the sheriff’s department. He was charged with aggravated battery and lodged in the LaGrange County Jail.
Police say Weinberg and Myers became involved in an argument which escalated into a physical fight that resulted in the stabbing.
