(ROME CITY) - Police used drones and dogs to track and capture a man and woman who fled from Indiana State Troopers attempting to serve an arrest warrant.

The officers went to a residence at Jones Lake to arrest 34 year old Herbert Foote of Rome City. After they arrived they saw a maroon pickup made a U-turn and speed off in the opposite direction.

The chase lasted seven minutes before the truck turned down a rough lane. One of the tires broke and caused the truck to flip on its side.

Foote and 32 year old Autumn Morphew of Kendallville then fled on foot.

During the next two hours drones from Noble County Sheriff’s Department and Ligonier Police worked along with dog teams from Wolcottville, Avilla and DeKalb County to track the pair.

They were captured about a mile and a half from where the truck crashed.

The warrant for Foote was for probation violation. Both Foote and Morphew are expected to face additional charges from yesterday’s pursuit.
