(COLDWATER) – A man is in jail following an incident Tuesday morning.

Michigan State Police from the Coldwater Detachment were notified at 7:30 AM of a person driving a semi truck cab westbound on U.S. 12 between Quincy and Coldwater, and passing other vehicles in a reckless manner. They learned the vehicle had allegedly been taken from a residence in Algansee Township.

Troopers were finally able to stop the semi at Willowbrook Road and take the driver into custody. The man was transported to the Branch County Jail on a charge of reckless driving.

The matter remains under investigation.
