(CENTREVILLE) – Changes to the St. Joseph County Animal Control Advisory Board bylaws were approved on Tuesday.

The St. Joseph County Commission was presented with the proposed changes in the bylaws during their meeting. The bylaws had not been updated since Animal Control moved under the umbrella of the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department a few years ago.

The two main changes to the bylaws was adding another Advisory Board member, bringing the total to 10, and changing the focus of the Board to fund raising.

The changes were approved by the Commissioners on a 5-0 vote.
