(BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, MI) – Kim LaSata is now an official candidate to run for the 21st District seat in the Michigan Senate.
The Bainbridge Township resident filed her paperwork Tuesday so she can run for the seat in the Michigan Senate currently held by Senator John Proos. He can not seek re-election due to term limits. The 21st State Senate District includes St. Joseph, Cass and Berrien Counties.
LaSata currently serves as the State Representative for the 79th Michigan House District, which takes in northern Berrien County. She says she decided to run for the Michigan Senate after a great deal of encouragement from her family, friends and community leaders, and after speaking with Proos as well. ...... {LISTEN}.
LaSata and Dave Pagel of Berrien Springs are both seeking the Republican nomination to run for the 21st District seat in the Michigan State Senate.
Pagel filed his paperwork in March. He is currently serving his third term as the State Representative to the 78th Michigan House District, which includes portions of Berrien and Cass Counties.
