Constantine falls to Hillsdale In D-6 District Finals
(HILLSDALE) – It was the battle everyone expected it to be, but when it was all over No. 7 Hillsdale beat Constantine 20-14 to win a Division 6 District Championship. The host Hornets jumped out to an early lead, but the Falcons fought back, coming up just short. Brayden Clark led the Constantine ground game with 21 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown. Issac Hall added 9 carries for 79 yards and Tyler Dumm had 7 carries for 72 yards and a scores. Constantine actually outgained the Hornets 312 to 248 yards, but two turnovers hurt their cause. Nathan Scott had 11 tackles for Constantine. Bo Eckman added 4 tackles. Hillsdale was led by Zack Kornack who had 16 carries for 138 yards and a touchdown. Brock Woodard had 9 carries for 103 yards and a score. Constantine ends their season at 8-3 while Hillsdale improves to 11-0 and will face Onsted in a Regional contest next week.
