(EMMA) – For the first time in 26 years, the Westview varsity girls basketball team will have a new head coach. Westview High School has named Ryan Yoder as the new coach of the girl's basketball team. He is an alum of Westview and was a member of the State Championship teams. He then played basketball at Davenport University. He previously served as the varsity boys basketball coach at Hamilton and Lakeland before returning to Westview, where he is a Social Studies teacher at Westview Junior High School. Yoder has also served as an assistant coach for the boy's basketball program. Yoder says he is honored and excited for the opportunity to lead the Westview girl's program and continuing the tradition started by former coach Randy Yoder.
