Bontrager sets record, Lakeland loses in OT to Northridge

(LAGRANGE) – It was record setting night for Lakeland senior Brayden Bontrager, but the Lakers watched their fourth quarter lead slip away as they eventually lost to Northridge 65-62 in overtime. Going into the game, Bontrager had 1,519 points. A 3 pointer in the early moments of the second quarter gave him 1,529 points, passing his brother Camron as the all time leading scorer for Lakeland boys basketball. ...... {LISTEN}. Bontrager finished the night with 31 points to go along with 15 rebounds and 3 assists. He now has 1,550 points, which moves him into second place in the all time Lakeland basketball scoring leaders, passing Abby Neff who had 1,541 points. Mason Douglas had 22 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Teammate Carson Aldrich had 4 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Lakeland is now 8-9 and will host Prairie Heights tonight.
